This week we are coming to the end of our 1 Corinthians series, but starting a new theme in our church: Legacy. So, we will finish the series by looking forward to a new season.
1 Corinthians 16 is a very mundane chapter of the Bible. After considering great truths like the cross and resurrection and then dealing with thorny issues like spiritual gifts and rights, Paul finished off with a list of rather random instructions and comments. However, much of life happens in the random and mundane too – in the day to day stuff. So, actually, this chapter has a lot to tell us.
Why not read through 1 Corinthians 16 and ask the following questions:
- How does Paul expect them to give financially?
- Who does he mention and why?
- What are his desires for the church?
